According to the NTA notice dated 24 October 2026, Session 1 registration opened on 24 October 2026.
Last date to apply: 22 November 2026, up to 11:50 PM
Late application window: 23–26 November 2026
Correction window: 27–29 November 2026
Session 1 examination dates: 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28 January 2027
These dates are for Session 1. NTA will announce the Session 2 application schedule separately. Always check the official JEE Main website for updates.
Follow these steps to complete your application:
Step 1: Visit the official website
Open jeemain.nta.nic.in and select the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application link.
Step 2: Complete registration
Choose New Registration and enter the required personal details. Use your own mobile number and email address, or those of your parents or guardians, as advised by NTA.
Step 3: Check your identity details
NTA advises candidates to use their own DigiLocker, JanParichay or e-Pramaan (MeriPehchaan) login credentials. Complete DigiLocker re-KYC before applying so that your latest details can be fetched. Your name and date of birth must match your Class 10 certificate or marksheet.
Step 4: Fill in the application form
Enter the required academic, personal and examination-related information carefully. Select your paper and examination preferences according to your eligibility and plans.
Step 5: Upload the required documents
Upload your photograph, signature and other required documents according to the specifications in the official Information Bulletin. Check the file format, size and image instructions before uploading.
Step 6: Pay the examination fee
Pay through one of the payment methods permitted by NTA, such as credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI. Make sure the payment is successful.
Step 7: Download the confirmation page
After successful submission and payment, download and save your confirmation page. Keep it safely for future reference.
NTA issued an advisory on 28 October 2026 asking candidates to use their own identity credentials, complete DigiLocker re-KYC and match their name and date of birth with their Class 10 records.
A further clarification dated 30 October 2026 allows candidates who made errors to submit a fresh application. However, only the last application with successfully paid fees and a generated confirmation page will be considered valid. Fees paid for an earlier application will not be refunded or adjusted. Candidates who only need to correct certain details should use the correction window instead. Submitting multiple forms does not allow multiple attempts in the same session.
Read the official NTA registration advisory and the JEE Main 2027 Information Bulletin before applying.
